STEFFENS BIOTECHNISCHE ANALYSEN GmbH is dedicated to the development and production of enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) test kits. Some of these kits are manufactured exclusively for individual customers; others are generally available and distributed directly by our company. Most of the tests measure human diagnostic parameters and are manufactured in compliance with the European in vitro diagnostica (IVD) directive 98/79/EC.
Our in vitro diagnostic test kits for detection of autoimmune diseases and Helicobacter pylori infections have the CE mark and offer reliably excellent quality with high ease of use.
Our outstanding streptavidin coated microplates offer strong binding with a very low background signal for your application with any biotinylated molecule, especially those that cannot be bound by passive adsorption.
The PFBV-ELISA is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay which enables the detection of a PFBV infection of pelargoniums (geraniums). Designed for Biology lessons, it is easy to perform and provides the result within one hour.
Quality Management System
Steffens Biotechnische Analysen GmbH maintains a Quality Management System that fulfills the requirements of the standard ISO 13485:2016. The company was founded in 1991. It is located in Ebringen, close to Freiburg in southern Germany.
In addition to the development and production of ELISA test kits, we also offer customized services related to our specialty; e.g. the preparation of functionalized solid phases. All our work can be conducted under strict confidentiality agreement cover.
A unique product is our pedagogic ELISA, which enables detection of infection of pelargoniums (geraniums) with the Pelargonium Flower Break Virus (PFBV).
Our efforts to improve ELISA technology have led to the development of an independent product line: Streptavidin-coated solid phases. For years, these products have been used by our customers in commercial ELISA test kits.
